Arcada de Frohse/ Archade of Frohse

Hoy es un dia interesante, he visto una patología no muy común en la consulta externa, que tenia desapercibida, se trata del atrapamiento del interoseo posterior, rama del nervio radial a nivel de la arcada de Frohse, tabique fibroso a nivel de musculo supinador corto. Lo interesante del asunto es que muchas veces lo que vez en la consulta se te olvida pero hoy en la urgencia igualmente me llega un accidente de tráfico, en dicho accidente la paciente X presenta las heridas de la foto, presenta impotencia funcional a nivel de la extensión de los dedos de la mano y no presenta nivel sensitivo. Por el tipo de herida habría que sospechar tanto una lesión nerviosa, el interoseo posterior o una lesión puramente musculotendinosa. Ya lo comentaré luego cuando se lo revise en la cirugía.

Today was an interesting day, Ive seen an orthopedic problem not common to me. On clinics the specialist in upper extremity surgery told me about the posterior interousseous nerve entrapment, its a root of the radial nerve that crosses the supinator muscle and its entrapment on the Archade of Frohse. Normally you forget those things you listen to in the clinics but today on my shift I had a patient, the X patients had a traffic accident and she had a wound on her proximal forehand, she was unable to extend her fingers and a little bit her wrist, she has correct sensitivity on her hand and forehand. Because of this kind of wound we should suspect of the posterior interosseous nerve lesion or just a muscle or tendon injury. I will write what was found on the surgery next time.
